How To Become a Buyer

You must have a Buyer's ID card from the State of Alabama to register for our auction. In order to obtain a Buyer's ID card, you must have a Dismantler and Parts Recycler License. If you are from a state other than Alabama and have the required licenses to purchase at an insurance auction in your state, the State of Alabama will issue a Buyer's ID Card to you. Auction Rules

Bidding/Buying

  • Titles must be signed by the owner and/or their agents. Titles will be completed in the company's name on the buyer's ID card.
  • Registered businesses are required to guarantee payment for any purchases made by the owner and all agents.
  • Company checks are accepted only if your business is registered with TRA under a buyer's ID card with an approved letter of credit on file. Personal checks are not accepted. Businesses without a bank letter of credit are required to pay by cash or certified funds.
  • For safety reasons, children under the age of 16 are prohibited from entering the sales & storage area of TRA.
  • No work may be performed on vehicles on TRA property. TRA assumes no liability for damage or injury arising from buyer activity.
  • This is an "absolute" auction. TRA reserves the right to refuse any bid, cancel or reschedule auctions at its discretion, and may add or remove vehicles from the sale at any time.
  • Future changes in auction rules may be distributed in written form or announced at the sale. Both forms of notification are considered equally binding in nature.

Terms of Sale

  • All vehicles are purchased on an "As-is/Where-is" basis, with no warranty or guarantee implied or actual on any unit sold.
  • Although we make every effort to provide accurate information, we must rely on others for the data provided. Therefore we cannot, and do not, guarantee that information provided as to mileage, make, model, year, title status, or history is accurate and/or correct.
  • TRA is not responsible for any change in vehicle condition after sale. Vehicles left on TRA premises after sale are left solely at BUYER'S RISK.
